Go left up the hill, then along the beach, then around the headland and approach the village from the landing stage. The obvious: go directly through the wood and approach the village along the path. It is also quite open in that there are many routes through it. It has some linearity in that it has definite stages, and this helps the story-telling and progression. ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not so bothered about the mutants, but I did like the general level design, especially the outdoor ones, because of the mix of linearity and openness.įor example, the level that starts on a beach at night, next to a wood, and a village you get the night-goggles from. I started with Far Cry 1 back in the day.
